The use of drones by fire departments, police, disaster control and other aid and rescue organizations has become significantly more important in recent years. Thanks to the latest drone technology, emergency services can be better supported, especially in confusing and difficult-to-access areas, and can work faster, more effectively and more safely. Equipped with thermal imaging cameras, drones can, for example, help search for people or detect fires and embers from a large and therefore safe distance.
The ELN landing pad supports emergency services when working with fire service drones by identifying a clear and highly visible area in which the drone can take off and land safely. A robust and easy-to-clean PVC tarpaulin in yellow signal color and reflective strips in every corner makes the landing site easily visible even in confusing scenarios or poor visibility.
We currently offer the landing site in two different versions:
Both versions are equipped with metal eyelets in the corners as standard. The drone landing site can be secured in a variety of ways against slipping or flying away. Be it with ground spikes, suspended water tanks or other weighting devices.
In the middle of the drone landing site there is a printed "H" which, in conjunction with the two drone symbols printed on the side, clearly shows everyone that this area must be kept clear for taking off and landing drones. We print the tarpaulins using a high-quality screen printing process. We draw on our many years of experience and use the same procedure as, for example, the protective blanket sets or the premium deployment tarpaulin. These products have already proven themselves over many years in regular outdoor use.
In the standard version, the drone landing pad is equipped with built-in tunnels on the back at the factory, into which round steel rods or something similar can be inserted to weigh it down if necessary. The tunnels can be easily opened and closed using Velcro and therefore do not change the small pack size of the tarpaulin. With the fixed version, the round steel is already included in the scope of delivery and is firmly integrated into the landing pad. The tarpaulin, including steel, weighs around 2.5 kg and is therefore well secured against small drifts and weak winds without any further action.
